It seems every year there is the one goal – to lose weight. Some are victorious and others not so much. So what does it take to get over the hurdle? Perhaps realistic goals – the weight didn’t get there overnight, so assuming it will be gone in two weeks isn’t going to happen either.
80% of weight loss is related to YOUR diet. I know no one wants to hear that. With the proper guidelines you can actually transform your body in twelve weeks, yes that’s 12 weeks not months or years. This is where your determination has to take over. Look its not forever, once there you can maintain.
We all look for the silver bullet, the magic pill, the immediate results – I don’t think there is one, unless you count your will and determination. After that the steps are VERY EASY. You can start with
- eat 6 small meals a day, every two to three hours
- eat a portion of protein and carbohydrates with each meal
- drink at least 10 cups of water a day
- add a portion of vegetables to at least 2 meals daily
See that’s not that hard. Keep in mind portion control. I don’t think we have considered this before. Read the labels and measure your portions until you become comfortable with what a actually portion is.
There is a wealth of information out there to help you SUCCEED. Check out Bill Phillips, “Body for Life”. Just remember this body has to take on quite a journey so cherish it. Best of luck, until next time…
